Fifteen Middle East-North Africa countries competed in the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer games in Los Angeles in nine days of challenging and Inspiring international competitions among thousands of athletes.

The spectacular opening ceremony was held to herald the beginning of the largest sporting event in the world this year and to celebrate the abilities of people with Intellectual disabilities worldwide. Most of the MENA countries arrived in their traditional costumes accompanied by sports stars and celebrities which drew a smile to the athletes’ faces. Despite the current harsh situation taking place in most of the region, the region athletes scored numerous medals during 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games, which is least described as a victory.
