Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, Minister of Youth and Sports: “President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi & SO athletes made the Games a success.”

Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, Minister of Youth and Sports, attended the closing ceremony of the 2014 8th SO MENA Regional Games held at the Air Defense Indoor Halls which was also attended by major-general Abdel Moneim Ultras, Air Force Commander, and Engineer Ayman Abdel Wahab, SO MENA Regional President and Managing Director, Engineer Khaled Nosseir,Special Olympics Egypt Chairman, Star Hussein Fahmy and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Deputy minister of Sports and Youth.
In his speech, Abdel Aziz congratulated Special Olympics MENA and SO Egypt for organizing such a marvelous event which brought back to him the memories of the 2006 African Nations Cup when he was taking over the organizing committee. He added that there should be an army of well-trained coaches who can deal with our athletes with intellectual disabilities in all the Egyptian governorates not only Cairo. He also promised to give a big hand in executing such a goal.
Eng. Abdel Wahab thanked all the volunteers, coaches and athletes that helped in making such a dream possible. He also added that the attendance of his Excellency, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is the beginning of a new era for the intellectually disabled in Egypt.
Eng. Nosseir valued and appreciated the efforts of the Games’ organizing committee and also thanked all ministries that gave a helping hand to make such a dream a reality.
